Reading Frenzy ~ An Independent Press Emporium

A Packed House For Rookie Yearbook

The Q Center's capacity was certainly tested this past Friday as we played proud hosts for the Rookie Yearbook Two book release and signing. Over 100 attendees packed in tight and cuddled up close to listen to writer/editor/girl wonder Tavi Gevinson speak, answer questions, and sign her newest book. Tavi, who is currently in the midst of her final year of high school, was as congenial as she was consummately charming. The book itself is busting at the binding with favorite rookie entries from the web as well as brand new content. If you have not already, I strongly encourage you the peep Rookiemag.com for more information, thrice daily posts, and fashion inspiration for both young girls and girls young at heart. If you were unable to make it to the signing, Tavi graciously left a few signed copies at our store. But, I do encourage you to hurry if you would like to wrap your hands around a copy, they are going with the quicknss!

This was the first book signing we have hosted since reopening shop just over a week ago and it could not have been more of a success. Thank you to everyone who was involved and attended. We look forward to hosting more happenings in the upcoming weeks, including our Grand Reopening Party this Thursday, November 14th, 7pm-9pm!

Hope to see you there!
