Reading Frenzy ~ An Independent Press Emporium

A Launch, and A Re-Launch

Hello fellow devotees! Have you been coming to check out the events hosted in our new location on N. Mississippi? If not, you are most certainly missing out! This past Thursday was our first Print Fancy since reopening.  Some of our favorite local comic and zine makers entertained a packed store with readings from their handmade works. If you did not make it down, fear not! We will definitely be scheduling more Print Fancies in the future. In the meantime, we have a bunch of events on the horizon happening soon!

Thursday, Feb. 27th at 7:00pm:  We are so proud to host the I AM NOT A POET launch party this upcoming week! From Street Roots, Portland's largest, non-profit newspaper supporting social advocacy, I Am Not a Poet offers a view at a life often overlooked. This anthology, 15 years in the making, is a collection of poetry from the perspective from people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Portland.  Please join us at our new location for the launch of this book.

Sunday, March 2nd at 4:00pm: Hip Mama and Rad Dad are making their much anticipated return! Join us in store for reading, a chance to mix and mingle, and Q&A with the Raddest Dad of them all, Thomas Moniz! We already have the newest issue of Hip Mama on our shelves, so if you feel as though you cannot wait until the re-launch party, come and get it!

These two happenings are only a sample of what we have coming up. Check back weekly for updates, more info, and new events.
